Help provide school supplies for a child in need.

Children in Sierra Leone face an array of obstacles that may stand in their way of educational advancement. Namely, basic essential school supplies are lacking or nonexistent in classrooms throughout the country. Necessities such as pencils, textbooks, geometry sets, and backpacks provide a crucial foundation for children to take education seriously. Parents are unfortunately not in a position to provide the quality and quantity of supplies needed. Simply put, the lack of school supplies negatively affects the quality of education that children receive.

Develop Africa is responding to this issue by acquiring, shipping and distributing school supplies to children in African schools. Their program provides children with a wide range of supplies—including rulers, erasers, pencils, notebooks, and backpacks. With the provision of these supplies, the financial burden is lifted from the shoulders of the parents. Children have been shown to participate more actively and comprehend material better since the implementation of this program. Providing basic school supplies is a small but crucial step in the advancement of Sierra Leone.
