When the Norman Public Library Central in Oklahoma needed to move to a location 1700 feet away, the librarians needed a sensible way to move all those books. It was too close to truck them, but very far to carry heavy boxes of books.

In low-income neighborhoods, the ratio of age-appropriate books to children is low. These kids may have access to books at schools, but to successfully develop lifelong reading skills, it's better to ensure they have books of their own. One organization is doing just that - making sure every child in the program receives 12 books each year!
